PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our Weatherization Program helps low- to moderate-income homeowners in Prince George’s County create green, affordable, and energy-efficient homes. Through residential energy audits, weatherization services, minor repairs, and ENERGY STAR® appliance upgrades, we reduce utility costs while improving home comfort and environmental sustainability.

What The Program Provides

Residential energy audits to assess energy use and identify cost-saving opportunities
Weatherization upgrades, including insulation and air sealing, to reduce energy loss
Minor home repairs to improve safety, functionality, and efficiency
Replacement of outdated appliances with ENERGY STAR®-rated models
Solutions designed to lower utility costs and increase long-term savings
Improvements that enhance indoor comfort and support a healthier living environment
Energy-efficient upgrades that contribute to environmental sustainability

APPLICATION PROCESS

Interested in making your home more energy efficient? Our Weatherization Program makes it easy to get started. Simply review the eligibility guidelines to see if you qualify, and if eligible, complete a quick application to begin the process. Our team is here to support you every step of the way, helping you access improvements that can lower energy costs and create a safer, more comfortable home.

Determine Your Eligibility:

  • Do you reside in one of the following counties; Prince George’s County, St. Mary’s, Calvert County, or Charles County?

  • Have you owned your home for the past year?

  • Does your home need weatherization to make it more energy efficient?

  • Are you currently on your mortgage, property taxes, and property insurance?

  • Is your household income equal to or less than 80% of the median household income for your area? (see income chart below)
