First Time Homebuyers Program

The First Time Homebuyers Program assists with the preparation of buying and maintaining a home.

UCAP provides wealth building instruction in budgeting, credit and financial planning as well as information on lenders, mortgage affordability and types of financing. We also provide realtor and lender referrals.

Our First Time Home Buyer counseling guides you through the home buying process step by step. It includes everything from deciding if homeownership is right for you, to shopping for a new home that meets your needs.

There is a $25 per person or $40 per couple fee that covers the cost of counseling and materials. The program also includes an eight–hour, one–day homeownership education group workshop.

To qualify for this program, you must be a Prince George's County resident.
